The CICSUG List

The CNS CICS Users Group is a support group for those who develop CICS applications to run at CNS. The group holds meetings whenever they have an agenda which warrants it. To reduce the need for meetings, and in order to provide a mechanism for exchanging information, a discussion list was established using the listserv facilities at CNS. The CNS CICS systems staff uses this list as a mechanism for notifying CICS development groups of pending changes or problems which may affect their CICS applications. The list can also be used to exchange information among the membership such as programming hints and tips or problems encountered when developing applications. The list name is CICSUG. The listserver resides at lists.ufl.edu.

To subscribe to the CICSUG list, send an email message to listserv@lists.ufl.edu. The body of the message should read:

filling in "Your Name" at the end in upper/lower case as you wish it to appear. You will receive confirmation that your name has been added to the list, along with other useful information about various listserv commands that are available. Once you are subscribed to the list, you can post messages which will be automatically sent to all other members of the list by sending email to: cicsug@lists.ufl.edu.

To remove yourself from the CICSUG list, send an email message to listserv@lists.ufl.edu. The body of the message should read:

The CICSUG is a closed list. Requests to subscribe will be sent to the list owners (Barry Brooks or Steve Ware at CNS) for approval. Membership is generally denied to persons who are not customers of CNS.

Contact Barry Brooks or Steve Ware at CNS if you have questions or need further information about the CICSUG list.
